Open to remote contract & freelance work
I turn complex operations into software people rely on.
I’m Lucas Cunha, a senior full stack .NET engineer based in Ireland. For 20+ years I’ve built and run business-critical systems: national health identifiers, a same-day delivery platform and finance products. I work across the whole stack, from the SQL schema to the mobile app.

About
Calm, careful engineering for systems that matter.
I started writing C# in 2004 on a transportation management system in Brazil, then spent years as a DBA keeping production SQL Server healthy. Since moving to Ireland in 2013 I’ve worked at Microsoft and, for the past eight years, as a full stack engineer on logistics and public health systems.
I like problems where the details are the product: invoices that must add up, health identifiers that must match, bookings that must never collide. I work comfortably with remote teams and explain technical trade-offs in plain language, in English or Portuguese.
-
Rules live in tested code
Tax, pricing and scheduling rules get unit and golden tests, so a change in behaviour is always deliberate.
-
Data first
Good indexes, clean imports and idempotent loads make the UI fast and the numbers trustworthy.
-
Ship in phases
Analyse, pilot, then roll out, with a checkpoint at every step and no surprises in production.
-
Respect production
Live data is sacred: isolated environments, reviewed changes and safe migrations.
